Our Maltese agent Adrian will be in contact with you before you arrive to confirm your flight arrival time - if you require a transfer from the airport to the apartment then please feel free to ask Adrian as he can also arrange this for you (and your return transfer back to the airport)
On the day of arrival he will meet you at the apartment and will show you where the underground parking space is and ensure you have everything you need for your stay.
For late arrives Adrian will issue you a key code for the key safe box which is located outside the apartment, he will also give you codes to gain entry through the main gate and Block C front door - if the key box is used then Adrian will be in contact the following morning.
Adrian will also be your point of call during your stay should you require any information.
Adrian will also be there to say goodbye when you leave.
Early check in and late check out might be available but we would not be able to confirm this until a week before your stay as there may be another guest checking out or checking out on the change over day and our cleaners need time to go in and clean and change the bedding over.
We will endeavour to make this available where possible but this will never be guaranteed.
Normal check in time is: 15:00
Normal check out time is: 10:00
Yes.
We want our guests to relax and enjoy their holiday, we provide our guests with fresh clean towels and our cleaners will make all the beds up with fresh bed linen before every arrival. There are also towels for pool use - please do not take these to the beach as they are for apartment use only.
We have a lift that goes from both the underground car park and the ground floor entrance up to the apartment so there will be no stairs to climb.
The apartment does have a lot of room and the kitchen is easily accessible with a wheelchair.
We only have a bath with an overhead shower and some disabled guests may find this inconvenient.
The owners use a mobility scooter and this fits in the lift perfectly so if you have your own please feel free to bring it with you - if you are using “assistance” at the airport then they normally allow you to bring your mobility scooter on board but you will need to arrange this directly with the airline.
Should you wish to hire a wheelchair or mobility scooter then we can recommend a local hire company - please see the recommendations section.
**disclaimer - We cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and service to the lift due to possible unforeseen mechanical issues**
Malta has a wonderful public transport system with plenty of buses covering the whole of Malta and Gozo with the nearest bus stop just 1 minute from the apartment.
From €1.50 you will have unlimited access for 2 hours to as many hop on/hop off buses as required.
You can either pay the bus driver cash (they do accept debit/credit cards) or you can buy a travel card for daily or weekly travel - these are available at ‘some’ bus stops or from the local Tourism Office.
For bus timetables and route planning please feel free to download from either Google Play or IOS the TalLinja App by searching for:
‘tallinja’
When you land at Luqa Airport your phone should automatically find the local network service (please ensure your phone is set to ‘allow roaming’ but please check with your normal network provider before you travel as not all networks include EU roaming within your standard charges)
Coverage on the Island is great though.
As announced in the 2016 Budget, the Government has introduced an Environmental Contribution on stays at all types of accommodation as from June 20th, 2016. The main objective of this Environmental Contribution is to improve quality along the tourism value chain. In fact, all revenue generated from this initiative will be directed solely and exclusively to upgrade and embellish the local infrastructure in touristic areas around the Maltese Islands.
Summarized information about this initiative is highlighted below:
BASIS OF CHARGE
The contribution is payable by all tourists who are 18 years or older irrespective of nationality (including locals).
It amounts to €0.50 per person for each night spent on the Maltese Islands at any type of accommodation such as hotels, guesthouses, hostels, resorts, apartments, farmhouses, villas, timeshare and host families, amongst others.
The contribution is capped at a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay. This applies also to twin-center stays in Malta and Gozo.
